Conditions ยท Carpal Tunnel
Numb fingers and a tingling hand don't always start at the wrist. The nerve travels from your neck to your fingertips, and it can get squeezed anywhere along the way.

Your thumb, index, and middle fingers go numb. Your hand tingles while you're driving or holding your phone. Maybe it wakes you up at night and you shake your hand to get the feeling back. You drop things more than you used to.
That's the median nerve complaining. It runs through a narrow tunnel in your wrist, and when that tunnel gets crowded, the nerve gets squeezed.
The median nerve starts in your neck and travels through your shoulder, down your arm, and through your forearm before it ever reaches the wrist. It can get pinched at more than one point. When it's irritated in two places at once, each one makes the other worse.
Tight forearm muscles that bend your wrist pull their tendons through the tunnel and raise the pressure on the nerve.
A muscle near the elbow that turns your palm down can pinch the same nerve higher up. It causes very similar hand symptoms, usually without the nighttime wake-ups.
A small chest muscle sits right over the bundle of nerves heading to your arm. When rounded shoulders keep it tight, it can cause tingling that feels just like carpal tunnel.
Tight neck muscles and a forward head can irritate the nerve where it leaves your spine.
That's why a wrist brace or even wrist surgery doesn't always solve it. If the nerve is also being squeezed in your forearm or under your chest muscle, the symptoms can stick around.
We check every spot along the nerve's path, from your neck to your wrist, to find where it's actually getting squeezed.
Super pulsed cold laser helps settle irritated nerve and tissue along that path.
Hands-on work releases the tight forearm, chest, and neck muscles crowding the nerve, so it has space again.
Your protocol is matched to your healing phase and to where the nerve is actually being pinched.
If your hand still tingles after a brace, rest, or even surgery, the nerve may be pinched somewhere else too. An assessment checks the whole path.

Those can be signs of lasting nerve pressure that needs a medical look.
