Massage Therapy
Posture is not a willpower problem. It is a nervous system program — and programs can be rewritten.
Book an AssessmentYour posture is controlled by your nervous system, not your conscious effort. It is the motor program your brain has calculated as the most efficient position for managing gravity given your current muscle lengths, joint mechanics, and proprioceptive input.
Telling someone to "stand up straight" asks them to consciously override a subconscious program. It works for about 30 seconds. Then the pattern returns — because the underlying program hasn't changed.
Changing posture requires changing the program — through releasing shortened muscles, reactivating inhibited ones, and giving the nervous system new information about what "normal" feels like.
| Deviation | Short Muscles (Tight) | Long Muscles (Weak) | Downstream Effects |
|---|---|---|---|
| Forward head posture | Upper traps, suboccipitals, SCM | Deep neck flexors, lower cervical stabilizers | Headaches, neck pain, cervical disc load |
| Rounded shoulders | Pectoralis major/minor | Rhomboids, serratus anterior | Shoulder impingement, thoracic restriction |
| Anterior pelvic tilt | Hip flexors (psoas, rectus femoris) | Glutes, abdominals | Lumbar compression, knee tracking issues |
| Knee valgus (knock knees) | Hip adductors, TFL | Gluteus medius, external rotators | Knee pain, IT band issues, hip impingement |
| Foot pronation | Peroneals, gastrocnemius | Tibialis posterior, intrinsic foot muscles | Plantar fasciitis, knee pain, hip loading |
Full front, side, and back postural analysis maps every deviation and identifies the muscle-length imbalances driving each one.
Neuromuscular massage releases the chronically short muscles that are pulling the body out of alignment. Cold laser reduces the neural tone driving their tightness.
For every overworking short muscle there is an underworking long muscle. Phase 3 laser (250 Hz) activates inhibited muscles directly. Cameron then gives precise movement cues to install the correct firing pattern.
The nervous system needs consistent repetition of the corrected position to make it the new default. Home exercises are minimal, precise, and targeted — designed to consolidate the correction, not overwhelm the system.
Every postural deviation creates chronic loading on tissues that weren't designed for it. Correcting the deviation removes the load. The body does the rest.
